Pet Food Safety

The safety of the food and treat products our member’s make is of paramount importance. That’s why PFI and our members work closely with government offices and agencies to ensure robust systems are in place for keeping our products safe, and why we educate consumers on how pet food is safely produced along the whole supply chain.

Consumer Education

As the voice of Pet Food, we are committed to helping pet lovers get the facts about the foods they choose for their dogs and cats. We produce accurate, science-backed content to help consumers understand topics like pet food nutrition, ingredients, and pet health and wellness.

Product Recalls

In the unfortunate event of a recall affecting pet food or treat products, our members activate robust food safety plans to ensure products are removed from circulation and food production remains safe for our companions.
