Since 1993, PFI has engaged in export promotion through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Market Access Program, which supports global promotion of U.S. agricultural goods. This grant program requires matching funds from both executing organizations and the industry.

The PFI Market Access Program aims to boost U.S. pet food and treat exports through marketing and promotions, improving local veterinarians’ knowledge in pet nutrition, and partnering with rescue groups to enhance animal welfare. All activities are directed by PFI and implemented by local in-country representatives.
