The Pet Food Institute (PFI), whose members make the vast majority of dog and cat food and treats in the United States, has recently added Allyson Baros-Kabler as the association’s coordinator of communications and membership.

In this role, Baros-Kabler will coordinate and execute communications strategies and work with PFI’s membership and partners to both amplify the pet food industry’s work and advocate for the issues most important to pet food makers.

“We are excited to add Allyson Baros-Kabler to our team, and I am eager to see how she contributes to PFI’s work to support our members and the well-being of the pets we love,” said PFI president and CEO Dana Brooks.

Baros-Kabler has three years of legislative experience working on Capitol Hill in the offices of several representatives of the U.S. Congress, and she has a passion for policies related to animals and agriculture. Additionally, Baros-Kabler holds a master’s degree in political management from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Florida State University.
