Pet Food Institute Welcomes New Chairman of the Board of Directors, Board Officers

WASHINGTON – The Pet Food Institute, the national trade association for U.S. dog and cat food and treat makers, welcomed new leadership to its board of directors for 2020 until 2022. Elected at the September board meeting, officers assumed their positions effective Jan. 1, 2020. Tod Morgan, CEO and chairman of the board of C.J. Foods, Inc., will serve as chairman of the PFI Board of Directors. He is succeeding outgoing chairman Alan Bostick, president and CEO of Sunshine Mills, Inc.

Additional officers assuming their positions as of Jan. 1 include:

  • Vice Chair: Nina Leigh Krueger, president, Nestlé Purina, U.S.
  • Secretary: Bud Wright, president and CEO, TFP Nutrition
  • Treasurer: Jason Godsey, senior vice president of operations, Simmons Pet Food, Inc.
  • Personnel Officer: Kamie Eckert, president and general manager, Royal Canin US

“The pet food and treat industry has seen significant change over the past decade, presenting both new opportunities and new challenges for U.S. manufacturers,” Morgan said. “I’m excited to work closely with PFI over the coming two years as we identify solutions that advance the entire industry while still promoting long and healthy lives for pets.”
